Storms obliterate parts of South


Hundreds of people are dead after massive storms tore through several southern states. These videos show some of the worst damage.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama, may have been hit the hardest. Cars are totaled and homes have been stripped of their roofs or reduced to debris.

Piles of rubble are unrecognizable as homes and massive trees are reduced to splinters after the storms hit central Georgia.

A seemingly shell-shocked student in Tuscaloosa describes capturing this stunning film of a monster tornado as it approached him.

The people who survive destructive storms like the ones that swept the southeast overnight, almost always have the same message: they are grateful to be alive. Here, that message resonates from Alabama to Mississippi to Georgia.
